The Wonders of Osaka, Japan

Osaka is a large port city and commercial center on the Japanese island of Honshu. It’s known for its modern architecture, nightlife and hearty street food. The 16th-century shogunate Osaka Castle, which has undergone several restorations, is its main historical landmark. It’s surrounded by a moat and park with plum, peach and cherry-blossom trees. Home of many of Japan’s world-renowned tourist spots.

Visiting Osaka for the first time 3 months ago was really a good experience. Being in a country with such a diverse culture, it really opened my eyes as to what the Japanese people and culture was besides from what we normally know about them. Having such amazing weather, landmarks, people and food, Osaka was a good first place to visit in Japan. Exploring various places like Dotonbori, which was known for many different shops and buildings full of many things, and a beautiful view of the night life, it was a thing of beauty to see. Lastly, the people were really nice despite not fully understanding english, simple gestures like bowing really show that they were taught to respect everyone.

Travelling was not as much of a hassle as most countries are, train and subway employees really instill discipline especially the citizens. The food was really good and covered a wide range of cuisines that they mixed in with the traditional Japanese style food. The weather was cold, windy and comfortable to feel while exploring the prefecture. So overall, i would say Japan, especially Osaka, was one of the best places i have gone to. Being exposed to such a great culture really made me appreciate their culture more.crowd-722930
